Everyone can start something, but it takes s person of discipline to finish something. This last week I committed to God that I was going on a 10 Day "Daniel fast." Basically, all I consumed for 10 days was fruit, vegetables, or water. After the first few days, I was doing just fine, but by day 6 I was ready to quit! It seems to me that we always want to quit about half way in everything. The real test of character is in becoming a finisher. Is there something you have started over and over and have never completed? How many unfinished projects do you have in your life? It's time to become a finisher.
“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may FINISH the race and COMPLETE THE TASK the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace." Acts 20:24 NIV
At what age do you keep trying and trying to finish? At one point it just seems so worthless to even try again. But I still find myself trying now and have just started going here, but the emptiness is strong and most everything I feel your saying is what I should have done years ago..Now I'm not sure how hard to try ,for the failure that I might not be strong enough to finish..Guess thats my comment..S.
