Isn’t it funny how productive you get before you go out of town? I am preparing to speak at the National Outreach Convention this week, so my schedule is cut short this week. As I was preparing for this week, I noticed I have just as much to do, but I am scheduling the time to still get it all done in less time. There is a principle in time management that says the time allotted for a task can expand or contrast based upon the time given, not the task itself. This means that if you can write a message (in my case) in three days, you can probably write just as good of a message in two days. If you can operate a business in 50 hours a week, you can probably also operate that same business just as effectively in 40 hours, or maybe even 30 hours. This does not mean you sit around doing nothing with the rest of the time, it means you now have time to advance your life/church/company, rather than just do what must be done this week. It’s great to work at Bay Area Fellowship I must admit, but most real advances happen when I work on Bay Area than in it or at it. Make sure you are not so busy working in your life that you have not time to work on it.
Bil -
This is just what I needed to hear today. I’m 36 years old and recently decided to "work on" finishing my BA degree in Homeland Security with American Military University. The struggle is that the Coast Guard keeps me busy as ever & trying to find time was always my "cop out"...the job will sacrifice, I will not have enough time for myself, the family deserves more of my time (yet they are the ones who will ultimately benefit) were always my excuses. I decided enough is enough and that I needed to adjust my time management instead of continuing to add to the plate that's already full. The reality is that we will never have the time to do the things that we want/need to do...we MAKE the time to do these things!
Thanks for allowing God to speak to me in STEREO through you.

Bil- this is also something I needed to hear. I am starting a business in education services in the Corpus Christi area. It feels like I am so bogged down due to time constraints that I have no time right now to work "on" the business because I am too busy working "in" the business. I have been attending BAF for over 2 years now. I got tired of the same old, same old drudgery and listening to one of your messages it made me go out and ACT on a dream I have had for a while now. I will let you know how it goes. I have been mentored by Pastor John A. in the past and think he is great! Thanks for all the TIME you have put in to developing BAF into what it has become for so many of us today. -Joe
