Prayer Preparations

In two weeks, we are starting a new series called “Rise Up.” The premise is this…In the Bible, after people were called to pray, they were then called to “rise up” and do great things. I will be teaching this series and then giving the instructions in each message, then making the messages available free to anyone who has signed up to be a prayer partner. At the end of the series, we will also have additional recordings available that Paul Schulz (“How to pray for your pastor”) and my wife Jessica (“How to pray for your children”) and I will be doing. I will also be doing an extra recording just for singles entitled “How to prepare and pray for your future mate.”

You do not have to be a part of Bay Area or even live in South Texas to join us in prayer, just commit to praying 1 hour a week for 50 out of 52 weeks over the next 12 months. We will be asking you to pray for a few specific things for our ministry but I assure you this will be more of a blessing to you personally than you ever dreamed.

I encourage you to pray one hour a week for your own concerns, as well as the following items:

1. Pray for an additional 500 people that we need to complete our goal of over 2,000 people to sign up.

2. Pray for the “Rise Up” series, that the campuses would be filled with people who catch the vision of what God can do through 100,000 hours of prayer.

3. Ask your family members and friends if they have signed up to do this, and make a commitment with them to hold each other accountable to join in and pray.

4. Ask God to teach you how to pray and for your efforts to change how you relate to Him and how you live.

That’s it for now…if we have over 2,000 people commit to just one hour of prayer a week for the next 52 weeks that’s over 100,000 hours of prayer! What can God do through us if we all unite by calling out to Him, for His blessing, His favor, and His Kingdom agenda to be accomplished in and through us? Get ready, because God is up to something BIG!
