Everything worth doing has a process to it. For example, if you are in customer service, there is a process for your customers to get some help. There is a beginning and there is an end. When someone comes to our church, there is a process we want them to go through, to become a fully devoted follower of Christ. Even though we will not “arrive” in our spiritual walks, there is still a process we are seeking people to follow. When someone who does not know Christ, accepts Christ in one of our services, the next steps are clearly laid out for them (baptism, join the church through membership, get involved in a small group and/or ministry, etc…) My constant challenge is to improve the process to taking people to maturity. When is the last time you challenged your process for how you do what you do? If you are not getting the results you want, it may be time to examine the process to see where things are breaking down. In other words, have the courage to say to yourself (or your team) “this could use some improving.” Be humble enough to challenge the process. How are you finding your process challenged? I’d love to hear from you…
