I just got a new comment on my blog from Jason Curlee, and he’s got me fired up! I love having people on our staff that are driven to reach the world! As you can see by Jason’s comment, he is crazy about evangelism and making a difference. If I could give a pastor advice, I would tell him to surround himself with people who are fired up about reaching the community, and are self-starters. The best management advice I’ve ever been given is to hire people who manage themselves and you save all the wasted time managing people and instead manage outcomes and lead into the future. If someone cannot manage their own time, money, etc…how can it be good stewardship for me to have them attempt to manage God’s church, resources, volunteers, etc…? The first person to lead is always yourself.
