One of my favorite leaders is Mac Richard (Rishard). Mac is the founding and senior pastor of Lake Hills Church, in Austin, Texas. Mac and Julie started the church almost 10 years ago, in a difficult area where few church planters had any success. He is arguably one of the best leaders in Austin…his church is full of leaders because leaders are drawn to leaders. He has guys like Rick Barnes (University of Texas men’s basketball coach) going to his church, not to mention half of Dell Corporation! Mac’s vision is clear, he knows who he is in Christ, and his life exemplifies excellence in character and integrity. Mac and his wife Julie are some of the best leaders I know. They have a passion to see people find Christ and they are not afraid of reaching people that are far from God. Too many church leaders are now asking God for “lost people” to come to their church, yet deep in their hearts, they are not really comfortable with what they are asking…because sinners that come to your church are going to bring the consequences of their sin with them! Mac and Julie are so grace filled, they have no problem holding to a standard of holiness while at the same time meeting these people with enough grace to help them transform from a life of brokenness to a life that honors God. If you have not discovered the leadership of Mac and Julie Richard, they are worth your time to do some research. Who are you listening to? Who are you looking to as someone to learn from? Mac and Julie Richard will challenge you to be all that God intends for you.
Bil - hey this is Tim Chambers from New Jersey. I am a friend of Buddy. He introduced us at C3 last year. I met Mac and Julie this past summer and was able to go to dinner with them. In just a couple of hours I left there knowing that I had spent time with someone who is not only gifted, but passionate for His God. What a great couple.

I had the opportunity to attend Lake Hills several times while in Austin back in 2000-2001. Its a great church led by a great guy. and I always felt welcome there even though no-one knew me.
